Get your voice heard at our Strategic Employer Group meetings in Barrow and Kendal
New dates have been announced for our next Strategic Employer Group meetings in Barrow and Kendal.
These meetings are a great opportunity for business leaders to get together to discuss current challenges and issues, feed into Chamber policy and lobbying, and to hear from and talk with relevant stakeholders such as local authorities, skills providers, economic development initiatives and more.
At this next round of meetings, we’ll be providing an update on the progress of the Chamber’s Local Skills Improvement Plan, a Department for Education funded initiative which aims to set out the key priorities needed to make technical education and skills provision more responsive to the changing needs of employers and the local economy.
Speakers include Cumbria Chamber MD, Suzanne Caldwell, joined by Cath Dutton, Careers Hub Manager, at Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership.
The upcoming SEGs are free to attend. Dates and venues are as follows:

The meetings start at 8.30am and run until 10.30am. Breakfast rolls, tea and coffee will be provided.
