If your business operates within a National Park or Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Cumbria Chamber of Commerce would love to hear from you.
The Government has commissioned an independent review of how National Parks and AONBs meet the country’s needs in the 21st century.
The review panel has issued a call for evidence and is keen to gauge the views of businesses. Cumbria Chamber will submit a formal response before the deadline of December 18th.
To inform that response, we need to hear from you about the challenges and benefits of doing business in a National Park or AONB, and about any barriers that inhibit business growth and profitability.
Click here to complete our questionnaire, which covers issues such as planning, tourism, transport and housing.
Cumbria contains not only the whole of the Lake District National Park but a sizeable chunk of the Yorkshire Dales and three designated AONBs – Arnside and Silverdale, the North Pennines and the Solway Coast.
So we know that many businesses will want to make their voice heard.
As well as the survey, we plan to convene a round-table discussion. If you’d like to take part in that, there’s space at the end of the survey for you to leave contact details and we’ll be in touch with details of the date and venue.
Although we will make the survey’s findings public, rest assured that all responses are anonymous – we won’t identify you or your business by name.
