Job description:
Assist with:
• preparation and serving of food and drinks
• efficient day to day running of the kitchen
• developing and producing menus and dishes
• maintaining the presentation, cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and front of house area
• ensuring all kitchen and front of house staff are up to date with menu content
• attending and contributing to training and meetings as required
• reporting, when necessary, on condition of equipment, catering areas, facilities that effect the operation

Be able to:
• work positively with the team, this includes all casual staff, management and volunteers
• present a friendly face to the public
• comply with any reasonable requests from manager
• work some evenings and weekend which may be required on a rota basis
• identify training needs for self

Essential skills and requirements:
• interest in catering, gaining experience of working in a professional café kitchen
• flexibility in terms of hour worked and tasks undertaken
• good people skills
• enjoying being part of team, able to work without supervision
• interest in catering

Working pattern:
30 hours. 9.30 – 5 / day; 4 day week; Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Hourly rate of pay:
National Minimum Wage
