Cumbria Chamber hosts Business Bites networking BBQ
Cumbria Chamber gathered local businesses at North Lakes Hotel & Spa for its first ever networking BBQ after work on Thursday 25th May.
With the sun shining down, the event was held outside on North Lakes Hotel’s beautiful terrace. The crowd of attendees included Business Bites regulars as well as some new faces representing businesses from around Penrith, Carlisle and further afield.
Upon arrival, guests were treated to a fantastic selection of barbequed nibbles including hamburger sliders, chicken wraps, sausages and halloumi bites. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly as guests chatted over drinks in the sunshine.
At every Business Bites event one Chamber member is given the chance to do a ten-minute presentation on their business. This time it was RBC Brewin Dolphin’s turn whose Divisional Director of Financial Planning, Richard Bell, gave a short talk on Brewin Dolphin’s services for businesses and remarked on how useful Business Bites has been for meeting new and existing clients.
Conversations continued well into the evening past the official event end time, with many taking to LinkedIn afterwards to comment on how much they’d enjoyed the event.
Head of Commercial and Business Growth, Eve Halliday said: “We’ve been blown away by how popular Business Bites Penrith has become over the past year, along with our other Business Bites events around the county. We’re focussed on organising friendly and relaxed events which people enjoy.
