The latest instalment of Cumbria Chamber’s popular Business Bites networking events welcomed a crowd of more than 60 business people to North Lakes Hotel & Spa in Penrith.

The evening kicked off with a few words from Business Development Manager at Cumbria Chamber, Kevin Warman who updated attendees on the Chamber’s policy work, events and business support including subsidies and business advice available through Cumbria Business Growth Hub.

Kevin then handed over to local IT support business, Cache4 IT Solutions, who gave a quick presentation on cyber security.

After the presentations, attendees chatted and swapped business cards over a couple of drinks and very delicious canapes provided by North Lakes Hotel. Laura Johnson from Cakes From the Lakes, handed out some free samples of of her new product: Cumbrian Shortbread.

With a friendly atmosphere and so many in attendance, the event was a huge success and a sure sign of the thriving nature of business in the area.
