United Learning- Richard Rose Morton Academy, Finance Administration Assistant, Carlisle

Job description:
To provide sound, efficient and effective support to the Academy in line with its legal financial procedures. The postholder will need to be a flexible member of the finance department.

This role will work across two sites in Carlisle.

1. Check statements weekly and chase up any copy documents.
2. Clear down old Purchase Orders from the system. Check the PO file and request any copy invoices.
3. To raise all Sales Ledger Invoices ensuring they are processed by the 2nd working day of the following month.
4. To post the petty cash monthly, prepare cheque for top up amount and ensure the documentation is in accordance with the petty cash policy.
5. To chase all debts monthly and prepare a report to be sent to the Business Manager at the end of each month detailing every debt and what action has been taken against individual.
6. Scan all Invoices onto Access.
7. Clear down the finance email on a daily basis and print where necessary.
8. Raise purchase orders.
9. Assist with Fixed assets.
10. Assist with the administration of Parentpay.
11. Any other duties as directed by the Business Manager.

The above list is not intended to be exhaustive and the will post holder will be expected to work flexibly and many of the duties will be supported by training.

Essential skills and requirements:
A good standard of general education, in particular the ability to write to a good standard of literacy and with developed report writing skills, driving licence. Experienced at using IT programmes, in particular Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for all successful applicants.

Working pattern:
25 hours. 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

National Minimum Wage
