Job description:
• Café: Open-up and shut down café, cleaning, ordering stock, receiving, and checking orders and serving customers.
• Instruction: learning about the instruction offered, potentially assisting with CrazyClimb sessions, observe and possibly assist on other instruction.
• Route Setting: hold washing, training for stripping holds, helping keep back office clean and tidy, assisting with basic admin e.g., bouldering competition paperwork, scores.
• Assist with maintenance of the climbing centre following training.
• Reception; dealing with basic email enquiries, answering the telephone, and dealing with customer queries, serving café and shop customers.
• Shop: cleaning and general help for the shop manager.
• General maintenance and cleaning duties as directed by the Line Manager.

Essential skills and requirements:
• Effective team member with a flexible approach to work.
• Experience working with the public in a busy service environment ensuring that the experience of each customer is positive and satisfactory.
• Good communication both written and verbal – GCSE English Grade 4/C or above preferred
• Preferably have some experience of climbing, with an interest in developing yourself personally as a climber.

Working pattern:
30 hours. Currently we have cohort working due to Covid-19. Shifts will be a mixture of daytime, typically 9.30 – 4pm, evenings 4-10pm and some weekend shifts of 9.30-6pm.
