Lake District Radio, Sound/Studio/Broadcast/Recording Engineers, Homeworking and Kendal

Job description:
Based at home initially learning software. Then at Plumgarths and Lakeside Studios / occasional off site Outside Broadcasts or Radio Promotions. The individual applicants will need great communication skills and a good sense of humour as dealing with Radio Presenters, and be prepared to learn the various software and hardware required to broadcast Radio in todays modern world. Internet / Streaming / Transmission / etc – also the ability to deal with studios / bands / recording equipment / mixers . microphones etc etc

The role will also include some Data Input, limited Radio Marketing & Sales – Social Media etc.

Radio is a busy and fun environment so the ability to multitask across differing disciplines is important.

Interest and knowledge in/ of radio and music would be of benefit

Good knowledge of Social Media channels and Event Management/ Outside Broadcasts would also be useful. / Band Equipment / Mixer desks

Experience of Festivals / Concerts / Open Air Cinema / Theatre etc could also be handy.

Skills obtained would be Radio Broadcasting / Radio Streaming –& Software Integrations – / Sound and Light – Event Planning / Event Management / limited Social Media Marketing / Outside Broadcasting Live and via Radio. Product Presentation / Database Management / Elementary Sales & Marketing / Event Marketing / Email broadcast software / Event Safety.

Essential skills and requirements:
No experience is any of the fields is required, but good communication is essential both written and spoken.

Working pattern:
25 hours. TBC.

Hourly rate of pay:
National Minimum Wage ( plus bonus )

Job placement location:
Homeworking and Kendal.
