Eden Arts, Project Assistant, Penrith

Job description:
We are looking for someone to work with us and to learn with us. No relevant work experience is necessary.

Eden Arts inspires change and enriches lives through cultural initiatives, strategic projects, events and festivals. Eden Arts are the organisation and charity behind large town centre festival The Winter Droving in Penrith which attracts over 20K people to the town, The North’s no. 1 outdoor cinema Picnic Cinema, which are cinema parties with cult and classic movies and camping, community cinema programme Cine North which enables over 60 community venues across the North of England to put on their own film events, a trans-regional project The #66 which aims to connect Cumbria, Durham and Tees Valley through cultural initiatives and Cumbria visual art programme C-Art and many more projects.

As part of the role you will work in the following areas on Eden Arts projects
• Administration
• Research and Development
• Artistic Support
• Event support
• Community and business engagement
• Marketing and Communication

You may also be working on live events which would involve some evening and weekend working (with time off in lieu).

Essential skills and requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An eye for detail. Curious about Eden Arts work, enthusiasm for art and culture. Experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Working pattern:
37.5 hours. Mon – Friday 9.30 – 5.30pm with 30 mins unpaid lunch break. Potential evening and weekend work with time off in lieu.

Hourly rate of pay:
National Minimum Wage
