Eden Arts, Marketing and Social Media Assistant, Penrith

Job description:

Eden Arts inspires change and enriches lives through cultural initiatives, strategic projects, events and festivals. Eden Arts are the organisation and charity behind large town centre festival The Winter Droving in Penrith which attracts over 20K people to the town, The North’s no. 1 outdoor cinema Picnic Cinema, which are cinema parties with cult and classic movies and camping, community cinema programme Cine North which enables over 60 community venues across the North of England to put on their own film events, a trans-regional project The #66 which aims to connect Cumbria, Durham and Tees Valley through cultural initiatives and Cumbria visual art programme C-Art and many more projects.

As part of the role you will learn and work on how to create engaging and effective social media posts, press releases, e-news content, communicating with people on social media, and over the phone. You will be involved with design using Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite and other applications. You will work closely with the Project Manager to contribute to the creation of social media and PR strategies. You may also be working on live events which would involve some evening and weekend working (with time off in lieu).

Essential skills and requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An eye for detail. Able to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok and other social media platforms. Experience of Microsoft programmes such as Word and Excel.

Working pattern:
37.5 hours. Mon – Friday 9.30 – 5.30pm with 30 mins unpaid lunch break. Potential evening and weekend work with time off in lieu.

National Minimum Wage
