All genders are welcome at our popular Women in Business network, proudly sponsored by Baines Our popular Women in Business network, proudly sponsored by Baines Wilson, is a long standing feature in the Cumbrian event’s calendar.
Over the next few months we’ve a range of events and activities planned to facilitate networking and personal development. As these events always feature a speaker and/or an activity, they’re perfect for those new to networking, or perhaps not the most confident, along with the most seasoned of networkers.
The full calendar of events is ever evolving, with new ideas, speakers and activities during the year building up to the feature event: International Women’s Day (IWD) 8th March 2023.
Last year we held a full day of workshops and talks along with a panel discussion and networking lunch at the North Lakes Hotel and Spa. It was such a success we are replicating the format for this coming IWD. Tickets are already on sale so be sure to book early for this sell-out event!
We’re keeping the workshops and panel of speakers under wraps until a bit nearer the time but I can tell you it’s going to be another stellar line up.
September:
Tuesday 27th September, 10am – 3pm.
September’s event is supported by Cumbria Wildlife Foundation. Their ever popular ‘Girls on Fells’ is given a fresh spin for our WIB network and we’ll be doing a day of ‘Women on Fells!’.
Join us for a relaxed networking and fresh air in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside while we participate in conservation activities and hear from guest speakers.
Lunch is included in the ticket price along with a donation to Cumbria Wildlife Foundation.
October:
Thursday 13th October, 1pm – 4pm.
In October we’ll be looking at confidence – how to harness it and how to develop it.
Join us at Harness Change as we work with our equine friends to harness our confidence.
We’ll spend the afternoon with Zara and her team (both 4 and 2 legged) to understand our current confidence levels and how to improve and harness these for our own development.
Perfect for those looking to connect with other Cumbrian businesswomen while doing something a bit different or those new to networking, this is a relaxed friendly event and all are welcome!
November:
Thursday 17th November, 5:30pm – 9:30pm
For November you’re invited to get dressed up and join us at The Halston for an evening of ‘wine tasting and inspiration’ .
We’ll sample a selection of wines with Manager Yann and enjoy an antipasto and cheese platter along with some sweet treats.
Guest speakers will provide inspiration, and this relaxed and glamourous event will have you making new connections in no time.
This event is already filling up fast so do book your space!
