Help in the Energy Crisis

By now everyone’s aware of the energy crisis with wholesale prices for gas surging by 250% since January, resulting in some energy firms going bust. This has affected businesses as well as over two million consumers across the UK as the price increase is hitting energy supplier companies who are unable to pass on these increases to their customers.

Recent collapses of Bluegreen, OmniEnergy, MA Energy, Zebra Power and AmPower UK bring the total number of closures since the start of September to 18. The Government is also accelerating contingency planning for the expected demise of Bulb.

So, if you’re worried about your business energy provider and need to, or are considering, switching, our Chamber Utilities member service can help. Cumbria Chamber members can access the Chamber Utilities switching service which can save hassle and uncertainty that comes with their current supplier going bust, as well as minimising financial implications by finding a more competitive tariff than they are offered elsewhere. Go Low Carbon, the Chamber Utilities service provider, has already saved £1,000s for customers affected by the collapse of some suppliers.
