COP26 – An invitation

The COP26 summit is the United Nations 26th Climate Change conference which brings together parties to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework convention on Climate Change.

This year, COP26 will be held at the SEC in Glasgow between 31st October and 12th November. The climate talks bring together heads of state, climate experts and campaigners to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change.

During the conference the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) will be there from 1-4 November representing Chambers and acting as a hub for the network of Chambers of Commerce’ across the world.

It’s the largest summit that the UK has ever hosted and is a unique opportunity for the Chamber of Commerce Network across the world to come together to discuss the challenges of the future. Chambers unite for a greener future, our global campaign which we launched earlier in the year, has united our 127 Chambers and has at its centrepiece at this hugely significant event.

Whilst the BCC are at the conference, their agenda includes:

  • Trade Delegations: welcoming members from around the Network
  • Policy Roundtables: discussing the challenges of the future with renowned experts across climate and economic policy
  • Senior Government Representatives: events featuring senior members of the UK and Scottish governments
  • In Conversation With: hear from senior thought leaders on their approach to climate leadership.

The BCC will also offer a drop-in business hub with plenty of space for meetings and networking, virtual and physical exhibitions – there’s lots on offer!
