Better Business for all Group: Allergens & Food Labelling Webinar

Cumbria County Council Trading Standards Team as part of the Better Business for all Group are hosting a webinar that will focus on food labelling, allergens and the upcoming change brought in by Natasha’s Law.

This law is being brought into force on 1st October 2021 and we want to ensure those businesses affected by it have enough time and information to make the necessary changes.

The webinar will focus on the three aspects of labelling – non-pre packed (loose), pre-packed and pre-packed for direct sale and we encourage bed and breakfasts, delis, street market traders, at-home caterers, takeaways and village shops in particular to ensure they attend.

While Natasha’s Law may not specifically affect your business, it’s in your best interests to take allergens seriously and this webinar will also act as a ‘refresher’ on what you should be doing.

Consumers are more likely to trust businesses that pay attention to allergens and most importantly correct labelling can save lives.

The webinar will be running on the 8th and 9th June at 10:30 and 6pm respectively. Please note this is the same session repeated. If you are interested, please register via the Eventbrite link where you will have a chance to select the session you would like to attend and submit any questions you would like answered ahead of the event.
