Help us ease the burden of tax on your business

Brexit continues to dominate the headlines but it’s far from being the only issue facing Cumbrian businesses.

Through the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), to which Cumbria Chamber is affiliated, we carry out an annual survey on the impacts of taxation.

The BCC uses the evidence gathered to lobby the Government for changes.

The findings of the 2018 survey enabled us to campaign successfully for an increase to the Annual Investment Allowance, announced in the October Budget.
