We are inviting innovative businesses who are experienced in exporting and looking for new market opportunities in digital, technology and associated services to participate in this Northern Powerhouse virtual trade mission to explore the Singaporean market.
In the year to March 2019, the UK exported £8.8bn of goods and services to Singapore. It is often seen as an ideal landing pad for breaking into the broader ASEAN markets; with favourable tax incentives, ease of doing business, and a progressive ecosystem of support for new entrants, it is the UK’s largest trading partner in South East Asia, making it a good place from which to seek business opportunities in the wider region (ONS, 2019).
There are opportunities for UK companies across a broad range of industries such as the fintech and technology sectors. Technology is a priority industry for Singapore and receives support from both government and the private sector. As such Singapore is considered the most innovative country in Asia, (WIPO, 2019).
What are the benefits?
Selected participating delegates will have the opportunity to:
- Receive extensive support throughout and following the mission
