Many companies export products to or import products from countries which have Free Trade Agreements with the EU, and the exit of the UK form the EU will mean the implementation of new Free Trade Agreements with many of these countries. Some of these products are fully made in the country, while others incorporate components or materials which do not originate in these countries.
The UK will be arranging its own Free trade Agreements as soon as it leaves the EU, so many of these issues will continue to apply. In any case, the UK will also be using the REX (Registered Exporter) facility, as this is replacing the GSP Free Trade arrangements with many countries as well as Approved Exporter status.
Join Cumbria Chamber of Commerce and Mark Rowbotham of Portcullis ISC, on the 20th November 10am to 1pm for this live online training session, to examine the Rules of Origin for such products, the countries which will have FTAs with the UK, and how origin is calculated.
