Many companies export products to or import products from countries which have Free Trade Agreements with the EU. Some of these products are wholly manufactured/produced in the United Kingdom, while others incorporate components or materials which do not originate in these countries.
The UK will be arranging its own Free trade Agreements as soon as it leaves the EU, so many of these issues will continue to apply. In any case, the UK will also be using the REX (Registered Exporter) facility, as this is replacing the GSP Free Trade arrangements with many countries.
Join Cumbria Chamber of Commerce and Mark Rowbotham of Portcullis ISC, on the 27th February 10am to 4pm at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, Lowther Street, Carlisle to examine the Rules of Origin for such products, the countries which will have FTAs with the UK, and how origin is calculated.
The session will also address the Free Trade Agreements with the EU, and how they affect trade with the EU, and the conditions for HMRC’s Approved Exporter status.
