Tackling Staff Misconduct with Michael Bauer of Cumbria Employment Solicitors, 9th May, Newton Rigg Conference Centre, Penrith, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce

Tackling Staff Misconduct – Prevention and Cure

Misconduct ranges from fighting, stealing and harassment at one extreme to low-level bickering and general awkwardness at the other. Sanctions run from an informal warning to the ”nuclear option” of instant dismissal for gross misconduct.

Handling such issues promptly and effectively sends a strong message to your staff about the ethos of the organisation but also limits the scope for expensive, time-consuming and distracting internal disputes and Employment Tribunal claims.
