Sexual harassment in the workplace has always been there but recent high-profile cases have brought it out into the open. While this is undoubtedly a good thing, it presents certain challenges to employers.
Businesses are generally responsible legally for sexual harassment committed by staff in the workplace – even if the business had no idea that it was going on.
Sexual harassment allegations/claims are likely to increase and have a destructive impact on businesses. They are sensitive and time-consuming to handle, generate potential negative publicity and can result in significant awards of compensation.
Safeguarding against Sexual Harassment
This training will show how businesses can:
- Reduce the likelihood of sexual harassment occurring in the first place;
- Introduce simple measures that mean if a claim is brought that the business can have a solid and relatively straightforward defence;
- Effectively deal with allegations of sexual harassment if they arise.
Who will Benefit from the Training
The training is aimed at anyone who manages staff including business owners, managers, supervisors and HR teams and will give you the practical guidance and the confidence to reduce the chance of sexual harassment occurring and safeguard your business if the worst does happen.
