VAT issues have become particularly prevalent with the exit of the UK from the EU, and traders are discovering that they may be required to obtain a VAT registration Number in the EU. This webinar covers the implications of such requirements and how to apply for an EU VAT and EORI Number. It also covers the subject of Triangulation, and how the concept works in terms of acting as an intermediary in the sale and purchase of goods between two EU countries.
The webinar also covers the subject of Postponed VAT Accounting, and how this facility affects and helps UK importers. It also deals with overall VAT management in the international trade process, and how certain simple measures can help companies to save money and ensure they pay no more VAT than is necessary.
This training course is designed for Finance professionals and those involved in International Trade. It is designed to introduce those with little knowledge of Fiscal and Tax procedures and compliances to understand the complexities of VAT, how it works and why it is important to business management as a whole, as well as how it affects the process of international trade. Given the UK’s exit from the EU, it deals with the circumstances surrounding the need to obtain EU VAT Numbers, and under what conditions they should be used, including Triangulation and VAT on services carried out in EU Member States.
Join Cumbria Chamber of Commerce and Mark Rowbotham of Portcullis on Wednesday, 13th October, 2021 from 10am-1pm plus Q and A for this practical training.
