The Department for International Trade (DIT) is delighted to invite food & drink producers from across the Northern Powerhouse to a two-part mission to India.*
India’s food and drink market is huge, seeing a sustained period of strong growth, fuelled in part by a growing youth demographic and a more affluent middle class, increasingly more concerned about eating more healthily. There are opportunities for health & nutritional products, gourmet foods & drinks, high value packaged & processed products in dairy or confectionaries and alcoholic beverages.
The mission programme has been split into two parts to provide delegates with maximum support and time to connect with buyers in order to generate new sales in India.
Part 1: How to prepare to successfully export to India webinar programme
- Getting ready to export to India: Knowing your USP
- How to identify the right Indian partner
- Mind of the buyer: What are Indian buyers looking for?
- Getting your goods to India with minimum delay and costs
- Networking opportunities throughout for peer to peer support
Part 2: ‘Seal the Deal’ connecting with Indian buyers
- Meet the buyer event
- Visit to international food and hospitality fair – AHARR 2022
- Retail store visits
Join this trade mission to benefit from the great programme of activities and build your brand’s reputation.
*Due to current uncertainties arising from the impact of COVID-19 on international travel and exhibitions, Part 2 of the mission programme may be subject to changes.
Companies must be based in the Northern Powerhouse. Minimum turnover of £250K or established exporter.
Attendance at our virtual mission does not automatically guarantee your place in future activities. Should we hold a physical trade mission to India in Spring 2022, there will be a separate and additional application process.
