Effective Handling of Staff Fall-outs, Bickering and Disputes (including Grievances)
Unfortunately, staff sometimes fall out with each other. It may be low level bickering and minor personality clashes that are reminiscent of the playground or it may be more serious specific allegations of bullying or other potentially unlawful treatment.
Either way, such disputes are invariably disruptive to day to day relations, bad for staff retention and attendance, detrimental to efficiency and can fundamentally damage the sense of co-operation and teamwork that are key to a successful organisation.
If such situations are ignored or are badly handled then they almost invariably intensify and can end up in Employment Tribunal claims.
This training will provide practical and straightforward to implement guidance on:
- How to avoid low-level bickering and major disputes in the first place;
- How to tackle them when they do arise – including informally and by way of mediation;
- How to handle a formal grievance and/or bullying/harassment process;
- Alternative solutions – “off the record” discussions and settlement agreements.
Who will Benefit from the Training
The training is aimed at anyone who manages staff including business owners, managers, supervisors and HR teams and will give you practical and down to earth guidance.
