The Department for International Trade (DIT) invites businesses from across the Northern Powerhouse (NPH) region to join a virtual trade mission and explore the opportunities in Australia.
The mission is ideal for businesses working in the FinTech sector (including LegalTech and InsurTech) who are wanting to explore opportunities in Australia. We also welcome companies from across the Financial and Professional Services sector who want to gain an understanding of the Australia market.
Planned sessions include information about market opportunities and how to access them, details of the regulatory environment and FinTech ecosystems, sector-specific events, help with practical aspects of doing business in Australia, access to key in-market contacts and sessions to gear up for pitching for business with Australian companies. This pre-mission event (recording available) will prepare you and your business for all these opportunities later in the year.
We are delighted to be collaborating with FinTech North and DIT Australia to deliver this mission.
You will be able to select which events you would like to attend when you register, including those across the wider FinTech Mission Programme.
Are you a FinTech business interested in Australia?
Australia has a sophisticated financial services sector, boasting a comparatively strong economy and is well positioned as a financial hub in one of the world’s fastest growing regions. It also ranks amongst the top 10 nations for FinTechs with Sydney and Melbourne in the top 20 global FinTech hubs.
Join this exciting Australia Pitching Workshop for Northern Powerhouse FinTechs on 19 October and hear from leading Australian banks and ecosystem players.
Learn more about the appetite of Australian Financial Services (FS) institutions to do business with the UK (and what solutions they are looking for) as well as how NPH FinTechs can best prepare for the Australian market.
