Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship

The University of Cumbria is launching the CMDA (Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship) as part of its portfolio of professional higher level and degree apprenticeships.
The programme is aimed at professional managers to develop skills and knowledge that enables them to take a lead responsibility for people, projects, operations or services providing the foundation for long-term business success.
Level 6 - Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, BA (Hons) Management and Leadership
Achieve an honours degree in the area of management and leadership, as well as Chartered Manager status.
This course would suit individuals who are at the start of their career who wish to become professional managers, or those who have already developed practical experience, but wish to further their theoretical understanding of management skills.
The degree course covers all of the syllabus content in the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship assessment plan.
The start of the Apprenticeship will be 21st December - pre-reading lists will be sent out by this date.
Classroom delivery will start on 22nd Jan 2018 for the three-year programme.
The course will be taught from one of the University's Carlisle campus locations.

• One module per year is focused around evidencing work-based learning
• You will build a portfolio by collating your degree work, training, and career development to be submitted towards your apprenticeship
• An assessor representing the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) will confirm if your portfolio submission meets the requirements of Chartered Manager status.
Prospective candidates will have Maths and English at grade C/4 or above equivalent, and will be required to meet the standard university entry requirements for the programme which for 2017 is 96 – 112 UCAS points (new UCAS tariff).
We understand that individuals may be considering an apprenticeship as a way of returning to education and therefore offer non-standard entry routes where individuals do not meet the standard entry criteria but can bring relevant or prior work experience.
